About the Role<\/strong>
  
Our client is looking for someone to join their Distribution and Inventory team and support them with various warehouse activities.  It is a multifunctional role with both distribution responsibilities such as pick and pack and preparing shipments and inventory responsibilities such as cycle counting.
Daily communication with internal and external contacts, including: operations, distribution services, small parcel couriers, and freight forwarders to support the on-time arrival of international shipments.  Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS). Will have responsibility to assure that a controlled system is used to accomplish quality processes and maintain regulatory and procedural compliance. Main responsibilities<\/strong>
  • Performs pick and pack of daily shipments in accordance with our standard operating procedures<\/li>
  • Supports with processing\/reviewing international documents for the export of time critical shipments of materials\/product to a list of identified countries<\/li>
  • Supports with cycle counting and inventory management<\/li>
  • Daily communication with project managers, project assistants, distribution department, couriers and freight forwarders regarding compliance and shipment issues<\/li>
  • Tracking and managing of exports to ensure door-to-door service<\/li>
  • Maintains shipping and receiving records, distributes data or reports summarizing warehouse activities<\/li>
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems. Refers only the more complex issues to higher level staff<\/li>
  • Works with Facilities Managers to maintain compliance as needed<\/li>
  • Ensure customer and legal requirements are met<\/li>
  • General support as required through the warehouse<\/li>
  • Adheres to the company’s quality management system (QMS)<\/li> <\/ul>  <\/strong> 
    Candidate requirements:<\/strong>
    •  <\/strong>Minimum 2 years’ warehouse experience - preferred<\/li>
    • Computer Skills – Knowledge and ability to use computerized software and systems relevant to warehousing - preferred<\/li>
    • Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures like receiving and storing<\/li>
    • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions<\/li>
    • Detail oriented<\/li>
    • Excellent time management skills<\/li>
    • Able to carry out basic computations in arithmetic<\/li>
    • Good communication skills<\/li>
    • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, vendors, customers and other team members<\/li> <\/ul>

      Job tasks:<\/strong>
      • Provide accurate and timely estimates to fulfil client briefs<\/li>
      • Ensure specifications are clearly understood prior to quoting<\/li>
      • Liaise with Account Managers and Clients to clarify requirement as necessary<\/li>
      • Obtain prices from suppliers for outside work to be included in estimates, eg to<\/li> <\/ul> obtain the most competitive price
        • Fully utilise estimating and production software<\/li>

        • Respond to customer queries<\/li>
        • Ensure value production options are explored for clients<\/li>
        • Ensure value returns for Company<\/li>
        • Liaise closely with the Account Managers and clients, ensuring optimum conversion rates<\/li>
        • Contribute positively to the effectiveness of the team<\/li>
        • Maintain close contact with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction<\/li>
        • Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers<\/li>
        • Contribute to the overall effective and smooth running of the company<\/li>
        • Carry out other tasks as required by the Customer Services Manager<\/li> <\/ul>  
          Candidate requirements: <\/strong>
          • IT literate and numerate with well‐developed analytical skills<\/li>
          • Strong organisational and time management skill<\/li>
          • Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, MS Outlook<\/li>
          • Strong communication both written and verbal<\/li>
          • Able to work independently and also part of a team<\/li>
          • Excellent interpersonal skills.<\/li>

This role will provide effective warehouse organisation including stock control, loading and unloading vehicles, storing and distributing goods and management of the flow of goods in and out.
              
            Job tasks:<\/strong>
            • Manage Stock<\/li>
            • Pick stock for delivery as required<\/li>
            • Ensure stock items are correctly labelled, stored safely and kept in good condition<\/li>
            • Keep packing and storage areas clean and tidy<\/li>
            • Control of ‘goods in’<\/li>
            • Receive delivered goods, unload delivery vehicles as required<\/li>
            • Record receipt of items in Tharstern (Computerised Management Information System)<\/li>
            • Ensure deliveries reach the correct recipient<\/li>
            • Label and stack stock in the correct location<\/li>
            • File delivery notes<\/li>
            • Control of ‘goods out’<\/li>
            • Prepare jobs for dispatch<\/li>
            • Raise delivery notes<\/li>
            • Organise van routes<\/li>
            • Book couriers as required<\/li>
            • Load and unload delivery vans as required<\/li>
            • Manage movement of work in process<\/li>
            • Control the movement of work between departments<\/li>
            • Ensure good housekeeping and company image<\/li>
            • Keep front and rear of building clear of rubbish<\/li>
            • Keep factory tidy<\/li>
            • Properly stack used pallets, disposing of broken ones, return remainder to supplier<\/li>

              • Good numerical and literacy levels<\/li>
