About the Role:

The Sales Administrator is responsible for margin growth in their assigned products. This is primarily accomplished by quoting business opportunities received from the sales team and managing the order process as quotations convert to customer orders.

Daily responsibilities of the Sales Administrator include:

Work with Sales to qualify quote opportunities from customers.
Understands the suppliers cost structures and how they compare to competitors. Be able to position opportunities to secure a better cost from suppliers.
Effectively utilise CRM and supplier systems to support decision making in the quote process.
Continually build product and market knowledge for their relevant product portfolio.
Build strong internal and external relationships.
Understand the competitions strengths, weaknesses and current business strategies.
Have a thorough knowledge of the Business Unit top customers, products and suppliers, including supplier strategies and focus areas.
Manage new and existing orders via the Order Management Application (OMA) to agreed SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
o Check orders to quotations and validate they can be profitability supported.

o Execute actions needed to support orders; debits, new part numbers etc.

o Communicate any issues with sales immediately

o Resolve issues quickly to maintain customer service levels.

o Consistently strive to improve profitability on orders booked.

Continuously assess return of investment versus risk and liability in quotes offered and orders accepted.
Sales Administrator skills and requirements:

Has a high level of commercial awareness and business acumen
Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills.
An ability to organise, prioritise and has a proactive approach.
Displays a sense of urgency and actions requests in a timely manner
Is able to work alone and as part of a team.
Enjoys working with high levels of numeric data & proficient in MS Excel.
