Salary circa £25K
Our local client are looking for someone to join their busy and friendly Engineering team as a Warehouse Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing thriving business who value their staff and have strong development pathways.
The ideal candidate will have a drive to learn and grow both in the role and with the company. They will possess initiative, be a team player and contribute to a positive and friendly work environment.
Main duties:
- Picking orders
- Pack and quality check orders once ready for distribution
- Participate in and carry out basic inventory duties, including yearly physical inventory
- Process shipments when necessary
- Other general warehousing duties such as receiving and processing incoming deliveries and organising or moving inventory when necessary
- Cross train in other areas of the business
Candidate requirements:
- Forklift License an advantage
- Experience of using stock management systems
- Good organisational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Efficient communication skills
